Essay ''Right to our own opinion''

         The statement ''I have the right to my own opinion '' is over used and it used in situation to ''justify'' our wrong doings. For example people that view others differently for their color, race or sexuality they try to justify themselves discriminating others. By labeling it as there own opinion when in reality its not there opinion its they way they put there mentally in order to not accept change.  


      This year has shown how giving your opinion of something can hurt others and yourself. When we go back and analyze the movement of  Black Live Matter we see how people giving there opinion of what was going on was not just help bringing justice for the death of George Floyd but, they were also protecting the future for next generations that are coming. Although this was amazing there are still those people that have a different perspective but, not only did they have a different opinion on what was occurring but they also felt with the right to take unnecessary actions such ass frame the movement as violent, scream racial slurs and even try to harm innocent lives. People get away with this because they simply justify it as them having there own opinion. 


     Our country could have many benefits if we were open to change. Sadly that's not the case, one major example is our president. He tends to give opinions on things that are not beneficial for others but only beneficial for himself and the people that have the same opinion as him. Our presidents opinions on different races, colors and sexuality have caused a shift in our country that is supposedly called '' Land of the Free''. Some damages that have occurred that cannot be forgotten are families getting locked up for simply being a different race. This occurred only due to the fact that his opinion was a people born outside from America are criminals. His opinions caused harm to innocent families that till this day there are still family's being locked up. 


  In conclusion my thoughts are if your opinion will not benefit others for a good cause then keep your own opinion to yourself because helping eachother in difficult situation is better then becoming enamines while being on the same team. Lastly don't try to justify discrimination as you having your own opinion because you not being able to accept a person for who they are is not there issue but, yours only.

Are you entitled to your opinion?

              Everyone is entitled to their own opinions or ways of thinking. But, being entitled to your opinion does not mean the person you disagree with during a discussion has to agree with you or state that you are right and their in the wrong. It doesn't obligate the other party to listen to what your opinions are in a discussion. You two are disagreeing because they also have a different way of viewing things as you do as well. It's their choice if they want to listen to you can't force a person to change their perspective in the way they think  if they don't want to. The  right to their opinions doesn't obligate you to let them keep it or not because if their set on what they believe is right, then they're going to keep their opinion no matter how much you try to change their perspective.
